Dr. Michelle Coleman has been helping families achieve an optimal state of well being for years. She combines a unique set of talents that allow people to experience relief of symptoms and prevention of disease in their highest forms. She is a national board certified Doctor of Chiropractic and has advanced training in the fields of Pediatric, Prenatal and Upper Cervical Chiropractic care and Nutritional Counseling. She enjoys assisting people of all ages in their pursuit 0f attainment and maintenance of health and well being.
Dr. Coleman grew up locally in the San Ramon Valley. She attended California High School where she was the Captain of the Varsity Song Squad. She started to learn then what it takes to be successful when she helped lead her team to win the USA National Championships. She was under Chiropractic care at the time she was competing and understood that keeping her body in optimal shape was necessary in order to perform at her best!
The next step in her academic career was to attain a Bachelors of Science degree at California State Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo. In her spare time she volunteered as a California Certified Domestic Violence Counselor and kept a strict workout schedule occasionally doing 5k and 10k runs. She found that Chiropractic care greatly improved her overall sense of well being, kept her immune system functioning well and helped her body get in optimal shape for her athletic endeavors.
Upon graduation from Cal Poly Dr. Coleman accepted a job working for Gap Inc. corporate headquarters as a Distribution Analyst. While working in the corporate world she learned about what it takes to keep the body healthy while sitting 8 hours a day at a desk. This has greatly assisted her ability to help troubleshoot why many people at desk jobs are suffering from less than optimal health. She was so moved by watching her colleagues get better through her recommendations to exercise, eat better and see the Chiropractor that she decided to go become one!
Dr. Coleman graduated in 2005 from Life Chiropractic College West and moved to the Seattle area to work as a Pediatric specialist. Dr. Coleman also became Axiom certified while assisting chronic low back pain patients with treatment on the DRX 9000. She spent hours of reading Digital Motion X-Ray or “DMX” studies and MRI’s which has thus enabled her to assist patients in avoiding invasive treatments for low back problems. She also assisted in the Rehabilitation and Exercise department of the clinic. She learned how to help patients restore proper structure and function to the body through postural rehabilitative exercises. Dr. Coleman learned many valuable lessons from her experience in Washington and was the ready to apply it to her own practice. After missing the California sunshine, her family and the SF Bay Area, Dr. Coleman decided to move home and is happy to be practicing here, doing what she loves every day, helping people get healthier!
